1. Make it Easy to Navigate.
You’ve done all the hard work getting a new contact to your site. Now what? Many sites fail to give the user any direction on where to go next on their website. There are several easy fixes to this problem.
A. Make sure your navigation bar is easy to find and use. Whether it’s across the top, or down the left side, the navigation should be the first items users see on the site.
B. Create ‘hot spots’ or call to action boxes that users can click on to drive them to the most important areas of the site.
C. Make sure your phone number and contact email are right at the top right of the page so no one has to search for your contact info!
2. Social Media is Your Friend.
Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin are not only great ways to stay connected with your clients but they are now an essential business tool for any website today. Get your social media sites set up and link them to your site. 3. Newsletter Sign Up or White Paper Download
Having a sign up section on your site is a great way to capture visitor information by offering them a newsletter or White Paper download. Once you have this information, you can create a relationship with the new user by emailing updates and special information about your company.
4. Photo Gallery
It’s important to have a photo gallery that is up to date with the latest and greatest works of your company. People are very visual, so the more you can show of what you have the better.
